We are aware of the discolored and/or cloudy water being reported by District residents starting Wednesday night. Please be advised that the water is still safe for consumption. Our operations staff began responding to calls last night and continues their work in the district today to remedy the issues. You may see workers throughout the district opening fire hydrants and dead-end valves to pull clear water from the water plant out into the water distribution system throughout the district.
If you are experiencing discolored water at your home, we recommend opening up a faucet or hose bib towards the back of the house, as far away from the street as possible, for 3-5 minutes to clear the discolored water from your internal plumbing. If the water does not clear up after this exercise, please contact our water operations staff at 281-290-6500.
